Why ZumiVet Was Created
ZumiVet was founded by Dr. Liz McCalley in 2020 after recognizing a gap in traditional veterinary care.
While working in multiple clinics during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. McCalley saw how separating pets from their owners—combined with busy, unfamiliar environments—often led to increased fear, anxiety, and stress. This was especially true for cats and more sensitive dogs.
As a Fear Free certified veterinarian, she set out to create a better experience.
